Varsity Coaching Staff
 
Jeff Erdmann- Head Coach/Running Backs
This is Coach Erdmann’s 13th year as head coach at RHS. He earned his BA from Gustavus Adolphus College and his Master’s Degree from the University of St. Thomas. Before coming to RHS he was the head football coach at New Richland-Heartland/Ellendale-Geneva H.S., Cannon Falls H.S. and Winona H.S. Jeff teaches 9th grade Social Studies. He and his wife live in Rosemount with their 3 children.
 
Chris Swansson- Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks
This is Coach Swansson’s 7th year at RHS. He received a BA from Gustavus Adolphus College where he played football and baseball. Chris earned his master’s degree from St. Mary’s University and his Administrative Licensure from St. Thomas University. Chris currently teaches AP Psychology and Developmental Psychology while coaching varsity baseball at RHS. Chris has two children- Chance and Kylie.
 
Drew Storley- Defensive Coordinator/Outside Linebackers
Drew and his wife Ericka live in Rosemount with their three children who attend Rosemount Elementary and Rosemount Middle School. He began teaching at RHS (1996) in the areas of Earth and Biological Sciences before moving to administration, currently performing duties as the 9th grade Dean of Students. Drew played linebacker for Bloomington Jefferson High School (1990) where he was Captain and MVP. He also played for 4 years at Gustavus Adolphus College. After earning a Master’s Degree in Education, he is now pursuing a degree in administration.   Drew is also the Assistant Student Council Advisor and Prom Advisor at RHS.
 
Michael O’Malley- Defensive Backs
Coach O’Malley is in his 13th year of coaching at RHS. Before coming to the Irish he had coached for Montevideo H.S., Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Tartan H.S. and Augsburg College. He is a graduate of Southwest State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Education and was named Captain and All District 13 Strong Safety, and team MVP for football. He is currently employed as a Probation Officer for Hennepin County. Michael and his wife Renae have two children Maggie and Jacob.
 
Pete Roback- Defensive Line/Special Teams Coordinator
Coach Roback begins his 12th season coaching for the Irish.  Pete serves as an Assistant Principal at Rosemount High School and taught in the Special Services Department prior to his administrative duties.  Pete is a graduate of Augustana College (SD) where he received All-American honors in both football and baseball.  He received his master’s degree and Administrative Licensure from Saint Mary’s University.  Pete and his wife Sonja have two boys – Anders and Dane.
 
Parc Williams- Inside Linebackers
Coach Williams attended the University of Minnesota and was a two year Co-Captain, Academic All Big Ten and Academic All-American (District V) for the Gophers. He also participated in the Blue-Grey All-Star Game. Parc was an honorable mention All Big Ten linebacker his senior year. He teaches in the PE department at RHS. Parc’s wife is Linette.
 
Ray Jalivay – Defensive Secondary
Coach Jalivay begins his 3rd season as an assistant coach and will be assisting Coach O’Malley with the secondary. Ray played linebacker for Fenger High School in Chicago where he received all –state and second team all American recognition. He went on to play strong safety for four years at Illinois; where he received a bachelor’s degree in business. After graduation he went on to play two years in the Dallas Cowboy organization. Ray currently owns and operates a State Farm insurance agency in Bloomington MN. Ray and his wife Kathy have two children who attend Rosemount schools.
  
Jason Elias – Offensive Line
This is Coach Elias’s 7th year with the Irish. He has spent the previous 11 years coaching on the Eagan Football Staff. Jason earned his undergraduate degree from Minnesota State University – Mankato where he played offensive line for the Mavericks. He earned his master’s degree from St. Mary’s University. Jason is currently teaching at Thomas Lake Elementary School and resides in Rosemount with his wife Angie and 3 children.
 
Steve Clausen- Wide Receivers
This is Coach Clausen’s 12th year coaching at RHS. He played football for the Irish’s rival, the Apple Valley Eagles. Steve is a graduate of Augsburg College, where he played football as a tight end. He currently teaches 6th grade at Rosemount Middle School and lives in Farmington with his wife Kristine and sons Dylan and Ty.
 
Scott Peters – Tight Ends
This is Coach Peters 3rd year coaching the Varsity Tight Ends. Scott graduated with a BA in Education from Winona State where he played Wide Receiver. He was named All-American, All Region and was a three time All Conference player. Coach Peters also is an assistant Baseball Coach at RHS. He lives in Eagan with his wife Lindsay and son Garrett.
 
Bob McCarthy- Technology Coordinator
This is Bob’s 6th year with the Irish. He is an alumnus of the RHS football program having played cornerback in the late 80’s. He also graduated from the University of Minnesota-Morris where he ran track for the Cougars. Bob is employed at Materials Processing Corporation in Eagan and is married to Jennie.
 
Sophomore Coaching Staff
 
Brett Larson- Head Coach/Offensive Coordinator/Offensive Line
Coach Larson begins his 10h year of coaching football at Rosemount. He attended Concordia College in Moorhead where he was the starting tight end on the 1986 NCAA Division III National Semi-Finalist football team and named All American for the wrestling team. He earned his master’s degree from South Dakota State University where he was also an assistant football coach. Brett has previously taught and coached at Chisago Lakes H.S. and West Catholic H.S. in Grand Rapids MI. He teaches Health & PE and is the Head Wrestling Coach for the Irish. Brett is married to Tracy and has two sons Luke and Andy.
 
Doug Anderson- Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers
Coach Anderson is a graduate of Hutchinson High School. He has a BA from Augsburg College and an MED from the University of Minnesota. He teaches Health Careers at RHS. Doug and his wife Laurie have 2 children.
 
Jay Hatleli- Defensive Backs
Coach Hatleli is a graduate of North Dakota State University where he was a starter at cornerback and played in the NCAA Division II National Semifinals. He was also a nine-time all-conference athlete in track and field. He is a social studies teacher and the boys Head Track Coach at RHS. Since 2003, his track teams have won 2 Lake Conference championships, 4 section championships, 1 MSHSL state championship, and 1 true team state championship. He lives in Rosemount with his wife Sara, who also is a teacher at RHS, and daughter, Kenna.
 
Grant Gilbertson- Offensive Backs
Coach Gilbertson is a graduate of North Dakota State University where he played fullback for the Bison from 1995-1999. He currently teaches 2nd grade at Northview Elementary in Eagan. Grant and his wife Lisa have 2 children – Kade and Sydney.
 
 
Brian Trussell – Defensive Line
Coach Trussell begins his 4th year of coaching Football with the Irish. He played his High School career at Park and was the Captain for both Football and Track. Coach Trussel continued his Football and Track career at Gustavus Adolphus College where he played on the Offensive Line. Brian received his Master’s Degree from St. Mary’s University and currently is a Chemistry Teacher at RHS where he also coaches the Irish girls Shot-put and Discus team. He and his wife Kristi live in St. Paul.
 
 
Steve Lufkin – Wide Receiver
Coach Lufkin will start his 4th year coaching at RHS after coaching the past 17 years at Henry Sibley High School. He earned his BA from Gustavus Adolphus College and his MA from Saint Mary’s University. He and his wife Stacy live in Rosemount with their 2 boys.
 
Brian Adamek – Linebackers
Coach Adamek begins his 3rd year of coaching with the Irish. He earned his undergraduate degree from Saint John’s University, where he played linebacker and was part of the NCAA Division III National Championship team and three MIAC Championship teams. He attended Rosemount High School where he earned all-conference twice and all-state honorable mention. Brian works as a Certified Financial Planner™ for Kusske Financial Management, Inc. in Burnsville.
 
Freshman Coaching Staff
 
Tim Conboy- Gold Squad Head Coach/Offensive Line
Coach Conboy serves as an Assistant Principal at RHS. He attended and played football at RHS and college football at Winona State where he earned a BS in Health and Special Education. He earned his Master’s and Specialist’s Degrees from Minnesota State-Mankato and his Doctorate from Bethel University. Tim is also an assistant Track and Field Coach working with the boys Shot Put and Discus team. Tim and his wife Kathy have 4 children.
 
Josh Schoaf – Gold Squad Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks & Receivers Coach
Coach Schoaf is a 2007 graduate of Rosemount High School and was the quarterback on the 2006 state semi-final team. Josh attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for the past two years and was on the National Championship team in 2007 and on the runner-up team in 2008. Josh plans on finishing his degree and coaching full-time after college.
 
Wayne Krantz- Gold Squad Defensive Coordinator/Inside Linebackers
Coach Krantz previously coached football, basketball and baseball at Shell Lake. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Wayne also has a Master’s Degree from St. Mary’s University. He teaches Technology Education and coach’s 8th grade boys and girls basketball at RMS. He is also an assistant baseball coach at RHS and lives in Apple Valley with his wife Krista.
 
 
Dave Bierly- Blue Squad Head Coach & Defensive Coordinator/Outside Linebackers
Coach Bierly grew up playing football in South Florida at Pine Crest School in Ft. Lauderdale. He played wide receiver and defensive back for Keith Flynn from 1993-1997. Dave earned his BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Behavioral Science and Law. He earned his Master’s Degree in Counseling at the University of Minnesota. This is his 6th year coaching at RHS and his 7th year as a counselor. Dave and his wife, Shannon, live in Bloomington with their daughter, Avery.
 
Tim Wahl – Blue Squad Offensive Coordinator/Offensive Backs
Coach Wahl is a 2007 graduate of Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN where he earned a B.S. in Mathematics and played baseball. He is currently earning a master’s degree in education through St. Mary’s University. Tim currently teaches Geometry and Honors Algebra II at Rosemount High School. He has also been an assistant baseball coach at RHS for 4 years and lives in Rosemount with his wife Lisa.
 
 
Ken VanOverbeke - Gold Squad Special Teams/ Defensive Backs/Wide Receivers
Coach VanOverbeke is a graduate of Bloomington Kennedy High School and the University of North Dakota. He earned his bachelors degree in criminal justice while playing football for the North Dakota Fighting Sioux as a defensive back. Ken is employed by the Hennepin County Department of Corrections; he currently serves as a probation officer. He has worked for Hennepin County for 18 years. Ken also coaches youth basketball, track, football and soccer in Rosemount. This is Ken's 10th season as a volunteer coach for the Irish Football Program. Ken's wife is Marilyn, and they have 3 sons.
   
Tom Conboy – Blue Squad Defensive Line
Tom was a 2003 graduate of Rosemount High School where he was a four year starter and earned All-Conference, All-Metro and All-State awards, and a football scholarship to St. Cloud State University.  At St. Cloud State, Tom earned numerous team awards and was selected All-NSIC.  Tom also earned All-Conference honors in hockey and All-Conference, All-State and is the school record holder in discus.  Tom lives in Lakeville and is employed by A and H Custom Remodeling and is engaged to Janna.
